Libdems call for electrification of the Midland mainline

East Midlands Liberal democrats have called for the electrification of the Midland mainline from Sheffield to London after a report by Network Rail recommended the upgrade. Electirifcation will make travelling to London much quicker and will be more environmentally friendly than the current diesel engines.
East Midlands Libdems endorsed the upgrade at the regional conference at Leicester and have set up a petition for you to have your say on the issue.
