The County Council are looking to save money and claim that the Centre at Gedling is poorly utilized. They also believe that many people who live outside the County Council area, such as residents of the City of Nottingham are crossing the "County border" to use the Centre rather than their own Centre within the City boundaries.

This enormous overspend is the only one we can remember in the last 26 years. It's taken Gedling's ruling Tories just 15 months of slackness to turn a financially sound council into a financial mess.
